Sovereign Soil Collective LLC ("SSC," "we," "us") is a veteran-owned regenerative farm institution in New Jersey. We collect as little of your information as we can, and we do not sell it to anyone. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Newsletter signup. If you join Field Notes, we collect your email address through our newsletter provider, Kit (kit.com). Kit stores your address on our behalf and handles confirmation and unsubscribe requests. We use it only to send you the newsletter.
• Website visits. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.
• Email you send us. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not share your email address with third parties, except the service providers named here who process it on our behalf.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Our publishing tools and Google user data

SSC operates an internal publishing application ("SSC Publisher") that our team uses to post SSC's own content to our own social channels, including our YouTube channel. This tool connects only to Google accounts owned by SSC. It does not collect, request, or access Google user data from visitors, subscribers, or any member of the public.

For the SSC accounts it connects to, SSC Publisher's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• Access is used only to upload and manage videos on SSC's own YouTube channel.
• Data received from Google APIs is not transferred to third parties, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness.
• Access tokens are stored on SSC-controlled equipment and are not shared.

Retention

We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and removal takes effect immediately. Server logs are retained by our host on its standard rotation schedule.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can also write to us to ask what information we hold about you or to have it deleted, and we will honor the request.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes to how we handle newsletter data will be announced in the newsletter itself.
